In Greece

A couple of days ago, we went to Athens, Greece to see the Acropolis. The Acropolis is a large stoney hill that was the most important governmental and religious center in ancient Athens; the buildings on the Acropolis were built in 500 BCE to 146 BCE. On the first day we went to the Acropolis Museum, the acropolis museum was super cool, most of the floor was glass and underneath that glass was a bunch of ancient houses. There was also a large collection of the pottery which were from the important buildings near the Acropolis. There were also a lot of relief carvings and full statues that used to be in the Parthenon, the largest and most important building on the Acropolis. After that we went to the national gardens, and Hadian’s Arch. We also played on the playground nearby. We had a long day in the museum and just getting to Athens was tiring, so we went to our room to rest for the next day. The next day we went to the Acropolis. We went to all the buildings on the top of the Acropolis, and took some awesome photos. We also went to the Theatre of Dionysus, the first theater. Afterwards we went to the temple of Hephaestus that’s nearby. We also went to the Roman and Ancient Agoras, an ancient planetarium, and Hadrian’s Library. The next day we went to the national gardens again and the playground that we went to before. We didn’t do a lot on that day because we did a bunch of things the day before. Sadly on the next day we really only had the morning because we were flying out that afternoon, so we went to Aristotle’s school, A really cool active archeology site. Finally we had to leave for Turkey.
