Waiting Room #3

We’re in Buenos Aires!

If you remember my last post (which was about my no-longer-broken-arm if you haven’t read my last post you should read that before this), you’ll know that it ended in a to- be-continued and this is that to be continue.

We didn’t know my arm was broken, we just thought I had sprained my wrist so we didn’t go see a doctor right away. We were going to San Pedro de Atacama that night, in a night bus. That meant I had to sleep on an overnight bus with an untreated broken arm, which was terrible because it was so bumpy and I kept banging my broken arm on something or other. There were also two random stops in the middle of the night where everyone had to get off the bus at 2:00am and 4:00am, the first one for half an hour and the second one for an hour.

After the awful bus ride, we went to a food court in the mall for lunch. My arm was still hurting so we finally went to a doctor. When we were at the doctor they put us in waiting room number 3. We had to wait a long time before we were seen by the doctor. The doctor decided I needed x rays in case I broke anything. So, after a lot of waiting, I went to the x-ray room. By the way, they brought me there by wheelchair even though both my legs were completely fine! The x-ray showed that my wrist was broken. So we went back to waiting room number 3 and after even more waiting, some people came to put on my cast. They were super messy and spilled wet plaster all over my pants. It felt kind of nice on my skin though. I had it on for a month and it was really hard not to get my cast wet. I was able to take showers because I had a plastic cover with a hole for my arm. I couldn’t completely submerge it though. That’s my broken arm for you, Well that’s enough from me bye y’all please keep following us bye.
