Iguazu Falls

I want to do a blog post about Brazil, but we are no longer there. We went to Brazil to visit Laisa’s family for four days. During that time we went to a lot of places, but I’m only going to talk about one place, Iguazu Falls… and the bird park.

We went to Iguazu Falls early in the morning, around 9:30. We went early to avoid the heat and the crowd. It worked. We got to Iguazu Falls equipped with our camera, and we took some amazing photos. To get in you need to buy a park ticket, but some things in the park of Iguazu Falls require you to pay more money. We just did the most basic ticket; a simple walkway going around the falls. It was still very impressive.

We started our trip on a bus, but not just any bus… A DOUBLE DECKER BUS. The bus was super fun because the top had no glass on the windows and the front and back of the top were just glass. No windows and clear fronts, so you can see everything. We were lucky to get the top front row because we could see from every side, except the back. On the bus route there are a bunch of different stops like the only hotel allowed in the area of Iguazu Falls. There were also other areas in the falls. Some stops were included in the base ticket, but for some you needed to pay more.

Once we got off the bus we went to the trail that goes around Iguazu Falls. As we walked, we took a lot of pictures. About half way through Dan stopped to take a picture of an inch worm, I stopped with him and when I looked up, I saw a toucan resting in the tree. After multiple toucan/inch worm photos later we rushed back to the group. As we were nearing the end we saw a platform right on top of the falls. The platform was super cool to be on, seeing the falls right beneath you. It also gave more photo taking opportunities. On the bus back we heard information of all the stops and a little history of Iguazu Falls from the loudspeakers. After we left Iguazu Falls we went to a bird park right next door.

The bird park was super fun but I do not want to get very far into the details because if someone else wants to write about the bird park they can.

Now for the photos.
