Bye Bye Mexico

This is a list of our most memorable moments in Mexico and links to posts in detail more for some of them (in progress)

  • Lucha Libre!
  • Dessertapalooza in the pouring rain
  • Oscar and Dan missing the first few days because of covid
  • Playground in Chapultepec with the zip lines
  • Anthropology museum with tomb of Pakal and surprise concert
  • ALL the street food-Gorditas de nata, tacos, gorditos, churros, tostadas. And Gordita lady’s restaurant
  • spending over five hours and getting super sunburnt at Teutihuacan but it being totally worth it
  • Our Airbnb that was 85% awesome (especially the courtyard and cats and Benito) and 15% terrible (the bathroom and the bunk beds)
  • Pottery! Talavera and homemade (RIP Señor Baguette)
  • Mexican folkloric ballet, and the theater tour the day before that nobody understood any of, but that was apparently funny?
  • Puebla and Cholula, weirdest pyramid and hotel ever. Best Chilaquiles. Best hot shower. NINOS NO TOCAS!
  • Spades!
  • Mexico City Costco. Pros: more free samples Cons: insane line for pizza. Weird: everything else is EXACTLY the same.
  • tummy troubles all around
  • Subway! Pros: 1 peso candies and crazy art and subway museums. Cons: so so so crowded. Weird: women and children only cars!
  • Frida and Trotsky museums, both a little sad.
  • Getting surprised by the rain and caught in a downpour literally every single day.
