The metro system in Mexico is Amazing. There’s a whole car just for women and children. The other day we were walking through the metro, and we saw a library! It even had a mini climate change museum in it! There was also a whole hallway with blue and purple lights, instead of white ceiling lights, with posters about space, constellations, planets, and asteroids!
However the best part is that it’s all free, there’s just the cost to ride the metro, wait it gets better, the cost for the metro is Five pesos. Instead of five dollars, like the metro back home, and If you want more examples of how good the metro is, then here they are. On one trip we saw a museum about how the metro in Mexico City has evolved. On another trip we saw comic strips by local authors, and paintings by local painters.
Also on a walking tour (not connected to the metro) we heard that there’s a pyramid in the middle of the metro, like an ancient Aztec pyramid! There are so many stops and lines, you can get almost anywhere with just five pesos, and it’s not faster than taking a car. All the locals know this too because the train is almost just as crowded from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. With so many people it’s amazing that the metro is still clean and doesn’t smell too bad. Just like most of the places I’ve been so far.
Now, for the pictures…
