The Blue Earth County Fair

We are actually in Mexico, but we forgot to blog in Minnesota. Therefore, I’m writing about the Blue Earth, MN County Fair and our cousins Keegan and Kinley.

The Blue Earth Fair is a super cool fair where you can enter handmade crafts for almost nothing, or a couple of dollars (the prices change a little). There is a whole barn, not the animal kind, of amazing interesting entries. You can enter food, photos, paintings, drawings, fabric work, and more! Also everyone gets a ribbon. That’s just the, there’s also a ton of fun activities like bingo, sword fighting, local shops, less local shops or scammy fair games, the heart and soul of a fair.

Our cousins, who live in Arizona, came out to go to the fair and enter some projects, but there were some delays so they missed the entry date. At least they still got to do the games. Oh! Did I forget the eating contests that are free to sign up and you get to keep what you don’t eat? I got into the pizza one, Keegen got into the pie one, no one got into the ice cream one, and we all got into the mini doughnut one!

We want to show how fun this fair is, so here are some photos.

  1. Hi Oscar,

Sorry to hear you and your dad got Covid–I hope it was a mild case. The fair (esp. the swordfighting part) sounds really fun!
